CHAIRMAN KEVIN NAGLE MEETS WITH WOMEN’S+ NETWORK AT LATEST TEA TIME!

22 January 2024

Huddersfield Town Chairman Kevin Nagle learns more about Town’s female supporters

- Chairman Kevin Nagle holds third ‘Tea Time’ event in boardroom
- Members of Huddersfield Town’s Women’s+ Network attend
- Group discuss variety of topics around female football supporters

Holding the second ‘Tea Time’ of his current stay within the UK, Huddersfield Town Chairman Kevin Nagle invited members of our Women’s+ Network to our Boardroom at the John Smith’s Stadium last week.

Creating an open environment for discussion, the attendees were invited to give feedback to the Chairman about the ways the Club could encourage more females to support Town, attend matches and feel connected to our fanbase and community.

An illuminating discussion enjoyed over a traditional English tea, Kevin shared that the topic of female inclusion is important to him not only as Chairman, but personally, too, having been raised by a single mother before having daughters of his own.

Each attendee was able to share their own stories, and their thoughts and feelings with Kevin in a safe space, feeding back to him on the existing schemes Town have in place to support our female Terriers, and give their opinions on how we can develop these going forward.

Among the topics discussed were the club’s relationship with the Women’s Team, how our match day experience could be further improved for female supporters, the visibility of females in football in as a whole, and increasing our merchandising range to better suit women.

Supporters can get a feel for the meeting and what was discussed by watching our video review below!

Now the third of these events held in front of artefacts of our past in the Boardroom at the John Smith’s Stadium, the Chairman is keen to continue meeting with and listening to supporters on each of his visits to Huddersfield, with a dedicated email address now available for this who would like to attend in the future.

Interested supporters should email teatime@htafc.com with all of their relevant details. While there is no guarantee of attendance, each entry will be reviewed.
