The next Huddersfield Town’s Women’s+ Network event, in conjunction with the Pennine Domestic Abuse Partnership, has been rescheduled to Tuesday 19 March 2024.
Originally set to take place at the end of February, the next Women's+ Network event has now been rescheduled to Tuesday 19 March 2024 between 6pm and 8pm at the John Smith's Stadium.
An event born from our recent Inclusion and Empowerment Conference where the topic of domestic abuse was bravely broached by one speaker, the Club have since opened dialogue with the Pennine Domestic Abuse Partnership, leading to our next Women’s+ Network event.
Still seen as a taboo topic despite the number of lives that are impacted, the Club is dedicated to continuing having an open dialogue about these matters, which has been shown numerous times through our Terriers Together work - be that menopause or menstruation awareness – and the ability to inform ourselves and others to the best of our ability remains something we’re dedicated to.
Despite being called our Women’s+ Network due to female inclusion being one of our strategic priorities, the group is open to absolutely everybody, and attendance from people of all backgrounds is wholly encouraged.
At our next event between 6pm-8pm on Tuesday 19 March at Legends Bar and Cafe at the John Smith’s Stadium, members of the Pennine Domestic Abuse Partnership will be delivering a talk on their service, looking at how to identify domestic abuse, how to refer, gain your own advice and guidance, all while discussing the outcomes of their work on those impacted, after working with the service.
