One of the many schemes our Supporter Services department have in place to make match days as enjoyable as possible is for First Time Terriers, giving junior supporters a memorable first visit to the John Smith’s Stadium!
Presented a small goodie bag on arrival - which often includes things like a Club scarf, hat and something fun like playing cards - the children are given the opportunity to join in with our match day activities before heading into the John Smith’s Stadium, with balloon modelling, face painting and more available free of charge.
When time allows, members of our Supporter Services team may lead a small tour of the grounds and stadium to give the young supporter an extra special memory, but this isn’t always possible at busier times. “As a department, our focus is on all of our supporters regardless of their age or how long they’ve been supporting Town - that means that we want the experience to be just as good for those coming for the first time and for those who’ve lost count of the game they’ve seen!
“First Time Terriers is something we’ve done for a long time, and we love seeing young supporters visiting us for the first time to begin their journey following the Club. A big day and event in the life of all fans, if we can enhance that then that’s absolutely something we want to, because having an engaged and passionate fanbase if the lifeblood of all clubs.”
