Goals and assists from Josh Koroma and Sorba Thomas in each half provided Town a more than deserved three points against Rotherham United on Saturday afternoon!
Starting brightly and taking that momentum into the remainder of the game, Town looked dangerous on every venture forward, peppering the Millers’ goal 11 times throughout the game.
Despite both Kian Harratt and Delano Burgzorg leaving the field thinking they might have done better with one or two of their efforts, Josh Koroma and Sorba Thomas stepped up to secure the win by assisting one another in each half.
Eerily similar efforts, Koroma opened the scoring following a ball across from the right by Thomas that he met on the full and diverted home from point blank distance at the far post, before Thomas made an almost identical back post run after the break that Koroma found him with thanks to a low ball across from the left!
Helik, Pearson and Nicholls in particular did excellently with the work they were asked to when Rotherham did venture forward, but the Town defence as a whole did a wonderful job of keeping the away side at arms length for most of the game.
