Having hit the lead through Michał Helik in this first half, Town were pegged back in frustrating circumstances as Hull City equalised with virtually the last kick of the game in the 98th minute.

A promising performance, Town were defensively solid throughout, buoyed by the return of Matty Pearson who was making his first Sky Bet Championship start of the season and first for 305 days.

Not the only Terrier appearing in his first league fixture for Town this season, Scott High started having returned from his loan with Rotherham United in midweek with new signings Matt Lowton and Martyn Waghorn also involved alongside B Team goalkeeper Nicholas Bilokapic who stepped up in the absence of Lee Nicholls.

Starting brightly, Town hit the lead through Michał Helik who nodded in at the far post following a set play, notching his second goal for the Club and a second goal against Hull City in as many games having scored the winner against the Tigers in Mark Fotheringham’s first home game in charge of the Club.

Hull City did have a couple of glances at goal, but Nicholas Bilokapic was equal to everything, making two saves in particular note, with one effort in each half catching the eye. It looked like it was going to be a well-earned clean sheet on his Sky Bet Championship debut for the Australian U23 international, but Victor Estupinan clipped in a last gasp equaliser seconds before the full-time whistle was blown.
