You can now watch all the highlights from Huddersfield Town’s 1-1 draw with Coventry City in the Sky Bet Championship!

The Terriers secured their Sky Bet Championship status thanks to a 79th minute strike from Danny Ward and results elsewhere in the division.

It was Town who had the first opportunity of the game, when Yaya Sanogo picked up the ball of the right side of the penalty area before driving a shot into the side-netting.

The visitors were also looking to open the scoring at the other side of the pitch on their first ever trip to the John Smith’s Stadium. Callum O’Hare found space before curling a shot straight at Ryan Schofield.

After the break Coventry had two big chances to break the deadlock.

Half-time substitute Jordan Shipley forced a fingertip save out of Schofield, who pushed the ball onto the post. Just moments later Viktor Gyökeres was denied one-on-one by the ‘keeper.

Shipley was at the centre of the action once again to give the visitors the lead in the 69th minute. He collected the ball from Gustavo Hamer and saw his effort take a deflection and beat Schofield into the back of the net.

Town’s second half substitute Ward levelled the scores 10 minutes into his introduction to the game. The ball fell to the striker following a corner and he made no mistake in sending it into the bottom corner for his first goal since his return to the Club in the summer.

The final attack of the encounter went to the visitors who drove forward before Matty James unleashed a shot that was blocked by Harry Toffolo, with the final whistle seeing Town take a point from the final home game of the 2020/21 campaign
