Huddersfield Town’s Young Terriers FA Youth Cup Third Round game against Newcastle United’s Under-18s will be steamed live and will be free to watch on the Club’s official YouTube channel!

Supporters will have the opportunity to get a glimpse into Town’s Academy playing at the John Smith’s Stadium as the game will be streamed FOR FREE live on YouTube.

The live stream for the match against Newcastle United’s Under-18s, on Tuesday 15 December 2020 (6.30pm kick-off), will be a one-camera broadcast live from the Stadium and will have commentary provided by the Club.

This is different to the streaming service provided by iFollow HTAFC for First Team games throughout the season, which is a four-camera mix.

Speaking to htafc.com ahead of the game, centre back Loick Ayina discussed how the opportunity to train with the First Team has helped his development as a Young Terrier.

“It’s been really good for me. It’s not the same as when I’m training with the Academy.

“I run more, it’s faster, and I speak more English. I’ve developed a lot.

“My passes are better, and my running has improved as well.

“I definitely think I’m better than I was this time last year.”

The youngster was part of last season’s FA Youth Cup squad when they drew Chelsea, a team who had won the competition in five of the last six years!

“We lost against Chelsea, but I was happy to play my first FA Youth Cup game for Huddersfield Town.

“It was a tough test last season, hopefully with my team we can go further in the competition this time.”

The centre-back has also captained the Under-17s in recent games, most recently in their 5-0 win over Fleetwood Town in the Youth Alliance Cup.

“Since being a leader, I think I’ve become much better. I speak a lot more on the pitch and I help the younger players.

“Tomorrow I’ll tell them to play with no pressure and to play like they always play.”
