Huddersfield Town Head Coach David Wagner was very pleased with his side’s performance during the 1-1 draw with Stoke City at the John Smith’s Stadium.

Wagner admitted that he felt the score-line was fair even though he thought his players controlled open play.

The Head Coach continued to discuss the two contentious penalty appeals, Tom Ince’s first goal for the Club and the tremendous saves made by Jonas Lössl.

Following the 1-1 draw with Stoke City, David Wagner told #HTTV:

“I think it was a fair result because set plays are a part of the game and from set players they were a threat.

“They had their best opportunities from set plays, from open play apart from the goal they didn’t have any clear-cut chances.

“We played well in the open play, we were a threat offensively, we were brave in the defence and kept them away from the goal.

“I think it was a fair result even if I can say we dominated them over the majority of the time and we controlled them.

“This gives me a very good feeling because everyone knows Stoke City is a top, established Premier League side with some top, top individuals.

“We were competitive, collected another point, which is a good point alongside a good performance; a point is ok.”
