Huddersfield Town Head Coach David Wagner spoke to #HTTV after the Club’s 1-0 Premier League win against West Brom.
David Wagner went into detail about how the players out his game plan into place, praised the fans for an extraordinary atmosphere and praised the team’s defensive ability when Town went down to 10-men.
Speaking to #HTTV after the game David Wagner commented:
“I know that the Man Utd was a big win for the Football Club but today this was a big win for us as a group.
“I am over the moon and delighted with the effort the players put on the grass; this was extraordinary today.
“They played great football when it was 11 vs 11, we pressed them high, were on the front foot, we were in their face and kept them away from our goal.
“We scored a wonderful goal from Rajiv van La Parra and then after we got one man less we were able to switch to the defensive block.
“It was an advantage that we used that in the last two games and the players did great to keep them away from our goal.
“Then when we needed Jonas Lössl, he made two unbelievable saves to help us get the result over the line, like the supporters helped us.
“I have to say, I didn’t think the Manchester United atmosphere would be beatable, but today was the next level.
“The support from the crowd was extraordinary and if we would like to be as successful as we are at the minute – especially at home – the supporters have to continue this support, which is amazing.”
