TOWN SUPPORT POETRY COMPETITION FOR YOUNG TERRIERS

4 March 2024

Young Terriers invited to take part in poetry competition for their chance to win a Huddersfield Town prize!

- Town invite young supporters to enter poetry competition
- Entries will be judged by members of the First Team
- Competition closes Wednesday 10 April 2024

Town are pleased to be supporting this year's Huddersfield Literature Festival - and we need our Young Terriers to get involved in our poetry competition!

As part of this year's Literature Festival, we're inviting pupils from local schools to write a poem about the Club for their chance to win a special Huddersfield Town prize!

Entries will be read by Jonathan Hogg, Lee Nicholls, Michał Helik, and Sorba Thomas who will pick their top five poems - with four prizes for the runners-up too!

The pupil with the winning poem will be invited to our fixture with Swansea City on Saturday 20 April, with their work being read aloud at half-time and printed in the match day programme. They will also receive their poem in a commemorative frame during the game, a football signed by the Huddersfield Town squad, and a prize from the Huddersfield Literature Festival too.

The four runners-up will also be invited to our game against the Swans, alongside receiving their poems in a commemorative frame, a Huddersfield Town signed football, and a special prize from the Huddersfield Literature Festival.

All entries will be available to read in the Festival Tipi located in the Courtyard of the Lawrence Batley Theatre from Wednesday 17 April until Friday 26 April 2024.

The poetry competition closes on Wednesday 10 April 2024 - entries can be collected from schools or sent in prior to the closing date via supporterservices@htafc.com.

Entries are welcome from all schools and areas. If entering via post, please address your poem to the John Smith's Stadium for the attention of Supporter Services.

Good luck, Terriers!

We're back at the John Smith's Stadium on Friday 29 March as André Breitenreiter's side take on Coventry City - CLICK HERE to secure your seat in HD1!
