Despite being on top for the majority of the game, Town weren’t able to get ahead against a committed Plymouth Argyle defence, who dropped deeper as the game continued.

Having fallen behind against the run of play to a close range finish from Morgan Whittaker, the Terriers had run the game before the goal and continued to push after, eventually getting back on terms through Josh Koroma after he cut in from the right onto his left boot and fired across goal into the bottom corner.

Despite pushing, making attacking changes and having plenty of the ball, Town weren't able to find that telling pass or strike on goal with the away side dropping deep and keeping most - if not all - of their players behind the ball, making it increasingly difficult for the Terriers to break them down.

Tom Iorpenda made his Sky Bet Championship debut from the bench in place of Alex Matos who had done the same for Town from the start, with captain Jonathan Hogg and David Kasumu once again available for selection. Unable to call on new forward Bojan Radulović, the Manager shared at full-time that it was a precation for the number nine to miss out, rather than a long-term or major issue.
