The final games involving Town players during the current international break have taken place in the early part of the week.

Check out our final round-up of this window before league football gets back under way this weekend.

Pat Jones, Wales Under-21s

Pat (pictured above) earned his fifth Wales Under-21 cap on Tuesday afternoon, starting for his nation in their UEFA Euro Under-21 qualifier in Lithuania.

Starting up front alongside Cardiff City’s Rubin Colwill, Jones had a big role in the opening goal of the game and helped his side take a two-goal lead before being withdrawn just before the 70th minute mark.

Pat took a pass in the area and drove past the defender, with his fierce shot being palmed out by the Lithuanian goalkeeper straight into the path of teammate Luke Harris to convert.

The eventual result was 3-2 to the Welsh, which puts them on four points from their opening two games in Group I. Their next qualifier comes away in the Czech Republic in the October international break.

Brodie Spencer, Northern Ireland

For the second time in this international window, Brodie was an unused substitute for the senior Northern Ireland side on Sunday.

Unfortunately, Michael O’Neill’s side lost their UEFA Euro qualifier in Kazakhstan 1-0, which leaves them with a huge turnaround needed to progress out of Group H. The Irish have three points after six games, with the four teams above them now having either 13 or 12 points from the same number of fixtures.

Northern Ireland’s next qualifiers comes in the October international break, when they host San Marino and Slovenia.

In the meantime, Brodie will return to his loan club Motherwell, who host St. Mirren in the Scottish Premiership on Saturday.
