Danny Ward vs Birmingham City (A)

A great team effort as Town pulled a goal back in the 61st minute against Birmingham City, courtesy of Danny Ward. A fantastic passing move from the Terriers ended with Jon Russell and Sorba Thomas combining, which saw Thomas feed the ball to Ward and he finished smartly on his right.

Pat Jones vs Norwich City (A)

Pat Jones scored his first senior goal in the 81st of our game away at Norwich after only being on the pitch for six minutes. The 19-year-old broke forward brilliantly after a great ball from Jack Rudoni and finished past the ‘keeper on his left.

Tino Anjorin vs West Bromwich Albion (H)

His first of two goals scored against West Brom this day, Anjorin opened the scoring in the 11th minute and scored his first goal at the John Smith’s Stadium. The ball was worked to Tino from a short corner wide of the box and he made no mistake in firing the ball past the Baggies’ ‘keeper with some serious pace.

Josh Ruffels vs Queens Park Rangers (A)

Ruffels’ second goal of the game after his equaliser came in the 26th minute and secured Town an important win. Leading up to the goal, Duane Holmes was fouled on the left, allowing Thomas to come across and deliver the dangerous ball into the box; Boyle’s first header was half blocked into the Ruffels – who brilliantly teed the ball up on his knee before he hooked the ball over his shoulder with his back to the goal, looping it into the back of the net.

Duane Holmes vs Rotherham United (H)

Holmes’ scored his first goal of the season against the Millers in the 31st minute after he created space for himself on the edge of the box before he moved into the area and hit the ball across the ‘keeper, with his effort striking the post on its way into the back of the net.

Joseph Hungbo vs Birmingham City (H)

On loan from Watford, Hungbo took the lead against Birmingham City in the 24th minute afterhe made the best of a counter-attack from a corner. Nicholas Bilokapic, on home debut, caught a corner and threw the ball quickly to Jaheim Headley; he found Hungbo, who carried it to the edge of the box before he curled his shot into the top corner for his first goal for Town.

Jaheim Headley vs Birmingham City (H)

Headley scored his first Town goal in his home debut and doubled Town’s lead against Birmingham City. Bilokapic got an assist as he sent an excellent direct ball over the head of Headley, who was running down the left, for him to run onto. The 21-year-old finished expertly across the ‘keeper and into the back of the net off the post.

Josh Ruffels vs Middlesbrough (H)

Ruffels scored Town’s equaliser and first of four goals against Middlesbrough just 22 goals into the second half. The full-back carried the ball towards the box and beat several Middlesbrough defenders to go one-on-one with ‘keeper Zack Steffan and it was a great finish into the side of the goal.

Danny Ward vs Sheffield United (H)

The goal that secured our safety in the Sky Bet Championship for next season – and what a goal it was! Ward scored our winning goal in the 59th minute and he spun his man with his back to the goal following a throw in and fired home with his left foot from outside the box into the bottom right corner.

Joseph Hungbo vs Reading (H)

Hungbo scored Town’s final goal of the season, and his third, in the 85th minute against Reading after coming off the bench. The loanee curled his shot into the opposite corner of the goal and doubled the Terriers’ lead in the final Sky Bet Championship game of the season.
