‘PROUD ABOUT TOWN’ MEETING ON 3 JULY

26 June 2023

Come down on the evening if you’re interested in learning more!

- New ‘Proud About Town’ group meeting on 3 July
- Anyone who wants to learn more is welcome to attend
- Meeting to take place at Legends Café from 6pm

Keen to learn more about our new ‘Proud About Town’ group? We’re holding a meeting on the evening of Monday 3 July if you want to learn more!

‘Proud About Town’ represents a new era for the Club in terms of welcoming our LGBTQ+ supporters and allies into our environment. Essentially, we are starting with a blank canvas, and we are keen to work with all members of the LGBTQ+ community in Kirklees to develop ‘Proud About Town’ into a group that meets regularly and helps us to progress our work to ensure any homophobic or transphobic abuse and discrimination are prevented and addressed as necessary.

As part of the introduction of this new group, members of staff from Huddersfield Town and the Huddersfield Town Foundation participated in the Kirklees Pride event that was held in St George’s Square on Saturday 17 June.

We had a lot of interaction over that weekend, so we’re now holding a follow-up meeting for those who registered their interest on the evening of Monday 3 July – and you’d be welcome to join us if you want to learn more too!

The meeting will take place at Legends Café Bar, situated next to the entrance to the gym behind the Big Red Stand, at 6pm. You don’t have to register; if you’re interested, simply drop in!

We hope to see many of you there on the evening!
