Our B Team went up against SC Heerenveen on Saturday afternoon at the Millers Oils High Performance Complex before the First Team took on the Dutch side at the John Smith’s Stadium, with the youngsters victorious in the friendly.
We hosted SC Heerenveen at the Millers Oil High Performance Complex on Saturday 29 July and kicked off at noon in a game that consisted of two 30-minute halves due to some players being on the bench for both sides in the First Team game at the John Smith’s Stadium at 3pm.
Aaron Rowe opened up the scoring ans we took the lead in the first half before Charles Ondo doubled this lead in the second half and secured the first of two pre-season wins over our friends from the Eredivisie, with the likes of Jordan Rhodes, Yuta Nakayama and Chris Maxwell gaining important minutes.
