We picked up our first point of the season away at the Riverside in another game that Manager Neil Warnock was certain was there for the taking.
Despite that, it was an incredibly positive showing from the Terriers, who built on their performance against Leicester City by going ahead at the Riverside.
In a first half where Town kept the home side at arms length, we still might’ve taken the lead through Brahima Diarra, who’s effort clipped back into play off the face of the post.
Sorba Thomas will claim the goal direct from the corner, but a touch from Boro defender Dael Fry will have it officially marked down as his – but that doesn’t take away from what was an eye-catching performance from the winger who caused the home side a myriad of issues.
Boro equalised through Hayden Hackney, who needed to produce an excellent strike to beat Lee Nicholls who was back to his best, saving everything from close and long range in what was voted a Player of the Match performance by Town supporters, our number played a huge part in earning the point.
