Carlos and Sorba shortlisted for Sky Bet Manager and Player of the Month
- Two nominations for Town after a strong start to the 2021/22 season

Carlos Corberan and Sorba Thomas nominated for Sky Bet Manager and Player of the Month!
Having enjoyed a promising start to the 2021/22 season, Town Head Coach Carlos Corberan and winger Sorba Thomas have been nominated for Sky Bet Manager and Player of the Month respectively.
Carlos has overseen a start that includes three wins and just a single draw and defeat each from our opening five league matches, including our dominant 4-0 home victory over Reading in our last fixture.
Nominated alongside Valerian Ismael (West Bromwich Albion), Marco Silva (Fulham) and Mark Warburton (Queens Park Rangers), it’s encouraging to see Town keep pace in the play-off places to start the season, with Carlos’ hard work on the training field clearly translating in to a number of impressive performances and results already.
Likewise, after a first professional league goal, four assists and four HTAFC Man of the Match displays Sorba Thomas has been recognised for his incredible form to start the year. In a strong category with Rob Dickie (QPR), Aden Flint (Cardiff City) and Aleksander Mitrovic (Fulham), it’s fantastic to see Sorba’s electric start to the 2021/22 campaign recognised, and it’s another early feather in the cap of a player who only joined Town from non-league football eight short months ago.
Winners in both categories will be announced tomorrow, Friday 9 September, and have been judged on by former Barnsley manager Danny Wilson, Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman, EFL Communications Director Mark Rowan, and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies.
