New B Team signing Jon Russell sat down with HTTV to discuss joining Huddersfield Town’s Young Terriers.
The midfielder joins Town’s Academy having left Chelsea at the conclusion of last season, and he explained he can’t wait to get stuck in.
“I’m delighted to be here!
“It’s a big Club with big history and I can’t wait to get started.
“I’ve been told that the B Team’s a good connection to the First Team. I know that they train together and it’s a good way to impress, that’s for sure.
“It’s a very good set up here, I really like it, and I’m happy to take this role.”
The 20-year-old went on to explain how he thinks playing senior teams with the Young Terriers will help his development as a player.
“I strongly feel like it’s going to benefit me in all types of areas really – technical and physical.
“I feel like it’s just going to improve me massively and it’s just a great thing to do.”
Russell also took the time to speak about what he hopes Town fans will see from him.
“I hope they see an exciting player who loves to get on the ball and show what he’s about.
“I also hope they see a real big team player who loves to win.”
