Huddersfield Town midfielder Álex Vallejo says that the Terriers have to learn from their mistakes and move forward following the 2-0 defeat to Watford.
The Terriers had gone into half-time level but second-half goals from Tom Cleverley and João Pedro decided the encounter after the break.
Álex says Town were disappointed to lose the game in the way they did after some solid defensive work earlier on.
“You know that we don’t want a defeat, but you can’t always get thing things that you want,” he said.
“We have to improve on our mistakes and keep going.”
The midfielder is now hoping that the Terriers can analyse those mistakes to improve going forward with Millwall next up in the Sky Bet Championship on Wednesday evening.
“With this coach, we trained a lot on the way the other team plays.
“I think in the first half and in the opening minutes of the second half, we stayed really good, but it was two chances and two mistakes.
“We know this league is competitive and if you make mistakes, you have to pay.
“The good thing is that we know we have matches consecutively, we have to analyse the mistakes and keep working.”
The midfielder played in the middle of a back three for Town at Vicarage Road in what was his first Sky Bet Championship start for the Club.
He is keen to keep working and improving going into a busy second half of his first campaign in England.
“I came here three months ago.
“I didn’t speak any word of English, I try to improve, I try to know my teammates.
“I try to improve the things the coach says and then I try to play matches and help my teammates.
“I want to stay strong and keep working.”
