Head Coach Carlos Corberán discusses Huddersfield Town’s latest team news ahead of Wednesday night’s game against Coventry City.

The Terriers have had a number of injury issues of late and, unfortunately, the defeat at AFC Bournemouth saw a couple more added to the list.

Both Ben Hamer and Danny Ward came off with knocks against the Cherries, so Town’s Head Coach gave an update on them.

“Hamer doesn’t have any important injuries, but now he needs to have some days off trying to recover the problem he has in the groin. He’s not going to be available in the next game; it’ll be Ryan Schofield or Joel Pereira who replaces him.

“Danny is going to be more time; it’ll be a couple of weeks. Fortunately, it’s not the same type of injury he had before in the hamstring. He will be out of the team for around 14 days.”

Despite having a number of injury woes, Town’s Head Coach could welcome two players back into the team.

“Hogg was training yesterday and today with the group and he’s available to be with the squad.

“Demeaco Duhaney was training today and is available to be in the squad too.”

Town face Coventry City at St. Andrew’s on Wednesday night with the Sky Blues sitting just three points behind the Terriers in the Sky Bet Championship table.

Managed by Mark Robins, Coventry come into this game seven games unbeaten. Town’s Head Coach discussed what to expect from them.

“They didn’t start in the same way as they are now. They have found one style of the game where they feel confident and have players to play in this style.

“I think the coach is doing really well because for me it has a lot of merit to go seven consecutive games without defeat. At the same time, they won three of those seven games, which is something positive that talks about the level of this team.

“They have started to play with one idea and one shape. They have changed a little bit, and, in this evolution, they have found a way to compete more in the Championship.”
