In the run up to Huddersfield Town’s 2019/20 season in the Sky Bet Championship, htafc.com will take a look at some of the most memorable fixtures against teams the Terriers will face – this time recalling the emphatic 4-0 win over Brentford.
During the 2011/12 Sky Bet League 1 campaign, Town extended the Club’s unbeaten league run to 36 matches after an incredible performance against the Bees.
Jordan Rhodes put the Terriers ahead after 36 minutes powering a header into the back of the net.
In the second half, Lee Clark’s Terriers went from strength to strength. Striker Lee Novak doubled Town’s lead after latching onto Damien Johnson’s through ball and placing the ball into the back of the net.
Novak then turned provider for Rhodes, who doubled his tally, heading in a cross from close range.
Winger Gary Roberts completed the rout by hammering home an effort after Rhodes’ shot hit the post.
