Town’s late turnaround completed a dramatic league win over Middlesbrough back in March 2013 at the John Smith’s Stadium.
The Terriers went in search of a first home win in over a month, with Tony Mowbray’s Middlesbrough side the visitors to West Yorkshire.
On a foggy evening at the John Smith’s, Town looked good for a fourth successive clean sheet on home soil up until the 78th minute, when Middlesbrough’s Scott McDonald drilled the opener into the back of the net to put the visitors ahead against the run of play.
Despite conceding a late goal, Town fought back to level through Alan Lee who struck home with just four minutes left to play.
Then with just seconds left, Danny Ward fired home from long range to dramatically secure a memorable win deep into stoppage time, with Town taking all three points from the encounter.
