Leigh Bromby’s side put in a solid performance at the John Smith’s Stadium and could have even won it in the closing stages but had to settle for a draw at full-time.
Town went behind on 12 minutes after a free-kick from Liverpool midfielder Herbie Kane found the back of the net to break the deadlock.
The Terriers responded well however and drew level through First Team winger Adama Diakhaby who drove forward before powering his strike into the bottom right corner.
Bromby’s side then began to control proceedings and went close to taking the lead in the second half. Josh Koroma and Kian Harratt both had good chances after the interval, but neither side could get the all-important goal ensuring the points were shared in the Group F encounter.
