Sitting down with HTTV at the Millers Oils High Performance Complex, Huddersfield Town Chairman Kevin Nagle has shared his thoughts on our 2024/25 Season Cards.
With renewals now open for existing Season Card Holders to retain their seat at the John Smith’s Stadium for the 2024/25 campaign - CLICK HERE for more information - our Chairman opened up about the decision made around pricing, whilst giving supporters an insight into his current thoughts and feelings heading into the summer.
Speaking with HTTV, he said:
“The price is going to remain essentially the same as last year.
“We thought about maybe flexing the price in some areas, but the reality is that we’ve chosen not to. I think we had a year that was very difficult for our fan base, and for us too as new ownership coming in, so the best thing is to leave it where it is.
“There’s no question - we’ve got a great fan base. A lot of people have shared with me their sentiments, and I think fans have earned the right for us to keep prices the same, and it’s the best thing to do for our supporters across the board.
“We’re going to continue to invest, in fact we’re investing even more. We’re at the training ground right now where there is going to be a lot of changes, we’ve introduced a new leadership team and that’s away from the team side, and that’s all to build for the future. We’re not going to stop that at all.
“That is the commitment we’re making to make Huddersfield Town a great location and the great football club that it is.
“There will be a number of changes to fan experience, too. We tried a number of things last year, some things worked better than other, but we’ll continue to try things throughout the year.
“I remember the Fan Appreciation events in the United States as young lad, and I always thought they were really cool…although I never really won anything! I thought it was great that people could win all sorts of nice prizes, and I wanted to implement that here, too.
“It’s unfortunate what’s just happened to us, but I’m really excited about the future. We’re going to make a lot of changes, and I think those changes are really going to be positive.
“In sport, just as in life, sometimes you have to take a step back before moving forward - it’s not fun, but you have to do it. I’m really excited about next year, we have to earn some respect back, but at the same time, there is a whole lot of opportunity.”
