“We will fight and work for everything to extend this run; that’s our aim” said Huddersfield Town Head Coach David Wagner ahead of this weekend’s Premier League game against Brighton & Hove Albion.

Town come into the match off the back of a three match unbeaten streak and an impressive 2-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers.

In his press conference, David Wagner explained that his players will do whatever they can to keep this momentum.

“We are only focused on our games, the next one is Brighton. We are in a position where we can say we are now on a good run and we will fight and work for everything to extend this; that’s our aim.

“The opponent we face is Brighton, an opponent we have played very often than others in the past because they were with us in the Championship as well.

“We both know everything about each other and Chris Hughton is a Manager that I really respect.

“It’s a difficult task in front of us, like we’ve seen very often against Brighton, and for this we will be prepared.

“We are aware we have a big, big chance, with our supporters in our back, to get another result against them.

“We’d like to grab this chance with both hands, but we have to be at our best again, we have to confirm what we showed on Sunday even more and that’s exactly what we want to do.

“I ask every Huddersfield Town supporter to come in numbers and to be there in numbers, to bring the atmosphere into the Stadium we need to give Brighton a real fight.”

Mathias Zanka missed the win over Wolves on Sunday due to suspension, but Town’s Head Coach has confirmed he’s likely to start this weekend.

“What I can say is that if Zanka’s fit and if tomorrow’s training is fine, then I expect he will be back in the starting XI again.

“Hopefully the days helped him, because I gave him some days off back in Copenhagen after the second game, he played in the international break to get his head clear.

“Now he came back, last weekend, he looks good, sharp and he likes to be involved again during this period where we are collecting points.

“Hopefully he can continue what he’s done before, to perform on a high level and to be one of our rockets at the back.”

Chris Löwe is Town’s only major injury concern ahead of this match, however, there are some other doubts.

“Unfortunately, Terence Kongolo is a doubt at the minute, we have to make a final call tomorrow after training on him after his knock in the Wolves game.

“Laurent Depoitre has a groin problem and with all the fixtures that are in front of us in December, we have to keep this in our head and have to be careful to use him only if he’s healthy.

“These are the two players where there’s a doubt for Saturday, not a big issue, but the may miss Saturday. Who will miss Saturday for sure is Chris Löwe.”
