Youngsters excel in Town’s official junior tournament

Hundreds of local youngsters showcased their skills in the 2017 PPG Cup, held at Huddersfield Town over two days at the weekend.
Footballers from across the region followed in the footsteps of Town's 2017 Wembley winners by taking to the 3G pitch at PPG Canalside.
Here are the winners from the two day tournament:
Saturday's Winners:
Under 7s - Garforth Rangers
Under 8s - Yorkshire United
Under 9s - UFCA
Sunday's Winners:
Under 10s - Howden Clough
Under 11s - Shelley Community FC
Under 12s - Heworth FC
The tournament also offered a wide range of activities to keep the entire family occupied throughout the day including face-painters, ‘Terry The Terrier’ and plenty of refreshments to complete the full family experience.
Once again Birstall-based PPG Architectural Coatings UK & Ireland, manufacturer of leading trade paint brands Johnstone’s Trade and Leyland Trade, lent its support to the inaugural PPG Cup as part of its sponsorship of Huddersfield Town’s Canalside training facility on Leeds Road.
