Huddersfield Town remind supporters of their conduct attending matches

- Huddersfield Town supporters reminded of their conduct
- Anti-social behaviour of any form will be not tolerated
- Comments from Supporter Services Manager Rachel Taylor

Feedback in recent weeks received by the Club’s Supporter Services department has brought into question the conduct of a small minority of Huddersfield Town fans, both at the John Smith’s Stadium and away from home around match days.

As such, we would like to remind supporters that the Club has a zero-tolerance attitude towards anti-social behaviour.

Anyone found engaging in such behaviour will face the necessary disciplinary action, and in the past the Club has been written to by the Football Association outlining the consequences the Club would also face in such an eventuality.

Huddersfield Town Supporter Services Manager Rachel Taylor commented:

“Sadly, we have recently experienced a worrying upturn in negative feedback from supporters both home and away about the conduct of a minority of people who are causing consistent issues when attending matches.

“Behaviour of this nature in the past has seen the Club face significant financial repercussions from the Football Association, and that is obviously harmful and unsustainable.

“Both at the John Smith’s Stadium and especially away from home, supporters are representatives of our Club, and we do not want this current spate of poor behaviour to negatively impact the reputation of our supporters, which is by and large fantastic.

“We know that the majority of our match going fans are absolutely wonderful and as always we are extremely thankful for your brilliant support, so as such, we do not want the actions of a few to detract from that and make anyone uncomfortable when getting behind the Terriers.

“Discriminatory and anti-social behaviour of all forms will not be tolerated, and will be dealt with the utmost seriousness. Where appropriate, individuals will be refereed to the authorities, so please do not jeopardise your ability to attend matches by letting your standards drop. Let’s work together to ensure our reputation remains impeccable, and thank you again from all at the Club for your unwavering support.”
