Danny Schofield said that “it’s important to move on quickly and prepare for the next game” when he spoke to the press on Friday morning.

Speaking to the media in his regular press conference, Danny reflected on the Preston North End game and how the team comes back from the loss.

“The way we conceded the goals against Preston North End, we left a lot of spaces.

“Sometimes our defensive work has been good, but there’s been other times where it’s been too easy to for the opposition, and we need to be better with that.

“It’s important to move on quickly, it’s always emotional after a loss for the players and the coaches, but you have to move on quickly and prepare for the next game because they come thick and fast.

“It’s about reflecting an analysing how to feed back to the players and what way is going to change things quickly.”

Danny then went to discuss the efforts and the adaptability of the squad.

“The players are very adaptable; they have been coached to be adaptable and play in different positions.

“The group of players here, and them as people, are great.

“The physical data doesn’t show that they’re not trying.

“Every one of them wants to try hard for this football club and we’re going to work hard to try and turn it around as quicky as possible.

“The players are obviously very disappointed, and everyone cares.

“Nobody goes out to not try, they always give everything, but we need to move on quickly and focus on the next game.”

Our Head Coach then went on to talk about himself and the coaches not being worried just yet with it only being two League games into the season.

“It’s certainly not a crisis.

“We’ve not won any of our games but a win against Stoke and back-to-back wins would move us up really quickly – but we’re not looking at the table, we’re looking at what’s happening daily.”

Schofield then looked forward to tomorrow afternoon’s game against Stoke City.

“Stoke have started the season solidly and it is going to be a physical and competitive game.

“But we see every game as a must win game.

“One magical moment is what can change, we just need to get the win against Stoke.”
