Attending our last Sky Bet Championship home fixture against Stoke City as a guest of the Club, former Town manager Neil Warnock took some time out to sit down with Andy Booth and reminisce on his time leading the Terriers.

In a wide-ranging conversation, the pair look back on the period between 1993-1995 that Warnock was in charge at the Club, going into detail about how and why a young Andy Booth was selected over Welsh international Iwan Roberts, with plenty of other familiar names being brought up along the way!

Warnock and Booth were both integral parts of the team that saw Town secure promotion to the Old First Division via the Play-Offs at Old Wembley against Bristol Rovers, with that occasion also discussed by the pair.

Having recently announced his retirement from management having spent a lifetime on the touchline, Warnock started in non-league football with Gainsborough Trinity in 1980 soon after hanging his playing boots, and went right through to 2021 with Middlesbrough in the Sky Bet Championship.

Having set the record for most games managed in English football after 42 years and 18 clubs, Warnock is one of the best known figures in the English game. Now embarking on a speaking tour to share stories from his long and eventful career, Town fans can catch him at the Town Hall on 23 September 2022 alongside Andy Booth and several other players from that period between 1993-1995!
