CENTRAL LEAGUE CUP NORTHERN FINAL THIS WEDNESDAY!

22 March 2021

Young Terriers head North West to take on Carlisle United

- Central League Cup Northern Final on Wednesday
- Huddersfield Town to take on hosts Carlisle United
- Game to kick-off at 1pm at Penrith AFC

Huddersfield Town’s youngsters will contest the Central League Cup’s Northern Final on Wednesday afternoon!

The Young Terriers will head to the North West to take on Carlisle United in the one-off game on Wednesday (24 March 2021), with the game taking place at Penrith AFC in a 1pm kick-off.

Town’s side will be led by Jon Worthington and could consist of young First Team squad members and Under-19 players.

Hosts Carlisle finished top of the three-team Group 2, winning all three games they played, whilst Town were first in the larger five-team Group 3, finishing with 19 points from eight games.

The winner of this game will face AFC Bournemouth in this season’s national final, who finished top of the southern group.

We did want to provide a live stream of this game, but unfortunately the logistics of Penrith AFC’s grounds and COVID-19 protocols has made this impossible. We will still bring Town fans live match updates on the Academy’s dedicated Twitter account, @htafcacademy, as well as all the post-match coverage on htafc.com.
