Head Coach Carlos Corberán is keen for his Huddersfield Town side to get back to winning ways during Tuesday’s night’s game against Birmingham City in the Sky Bet Championship.

The Terriers and the Blues are separated by just two points and two places ahead of the midweek meeting at the John Smith’s Stadium.

With the game seeing Town come up against a side close by in the table, Carlos is eager for his side to take all three points from the encounter.

“It is going to be like every game in the Championship; very tough and very complicated but both teams are in a similar situation,” the Spaniard said speaking in his pre-match press conference on Monday afternoon.

“They are in a good moment, a good shape. They strengthened the squad in January, they’ve won two of their last three and they only lost against Norwich in that period.

“We want to change the feeling we have from our last three. We want to change the dynamic and recover the winning feeling.

“It’s the wish of the players, the staff, the Club and the fans – it’s an important game to try and change this feeling.”

The visit of Birmingham to West Yorkshire is the first of two home games under the lights for Carlos’ side this week, ahead of Friday night's match against Cardiff City at the John Smith's Stadium.

Town’s Head Coach wants his side to make the most of playing in familiar surroundings at home in the final few months of the season, as well as targeting a change of fortune on the road, in the coming weeks.

“It’s very necessary (to make the John Smith’s Stadium a difficult place for opposing teams to come), it’s very important from now until the end of the season," he said.

"We also want to change the dynamic when we are playing away.

"I face every game with the same mentality, trying to go for the three points and preparing the players to do so.”

Ahead of the midweek clash, Town’s Head Coach also provided the latest team news with no fresh injuries concerns included off the back of Saturday's game at Preston.

“Fortunately, we didn’t lose any of the players in the last game.

“We didn’t add any injured players but at the same time, it’s positive to not miss any players.

“Richard Stearman’s progression is really positive.

“We are going to need more training with (Yaya) Sanogo (before he can start). It’s a long time without playing important minutes in a team.”
