- U17 happy with the support he gets from Town Academy
- Young Terriers face Burton Albion on Saturday 4 December 2021
Huddersfield Town Under-17 forward Tyree Sanusi is pleased with the tactical improvements he’s seen in his game so far.
The 16-year-old joined Town’s Academy from Birmingham City as part of their 2021/22 summer cohort.
Speaking to htafc.com, Sanusi discussed how pleased he is with how his football has progressed since his arrival.
“I have found Huddersfield great so far, I’ve had everyone looking after me and I have learnt a lot tactically.
“At my old club, Birmingham City, I didn’t learn much about this, but Town have taught me how to be tactically aware on the pitch.
“My football has improved a lot actually.
“As time has gone on, I’ve just been working on my ball – my strikes and crosses - which is helping me a lot.
“My coach, George Danaher, told me to work on my crossing more in training, so that is my next challenge.”
The striker also took the time to discuss what he’d like to achieve in the rest of the season.
“My aim for this season is to just be consistent.
“I want to be a consistent starter and a consistent winner.
“I want to be completely confident when I am on the pitch.”
Tyree and his teammates are back in action on Saturday 4 December 2021 when they travel to Burton Albion to St Georges Park for an 11:30am kick-off.
Fans are welcome to support the Young Terriers at St Georges Park from 11am.
Please note that you are encouraged to wear a face mask if you are travelling to watch the game on Saturday - unless you are exempt.
