Head Coach Carlos Corberán says that Álex Vallejo and Pipa are doubts for Huddersfield Town’s game at Norwich City on Tuesday evening.

The pair were both forced off with injuries during the Terriers’ 1-1 draw with Brentford at the weekend.

Looking ahead to the midweek trip to Carrow Road, Town’s Head Coach says that he is waiting to find out if the pair will be available to face the Canaries.

“I need to wait for the medical confirmation. They are with the medical staff now,” he said during his pre-match press conference on Monday morning.

“Both players are doubts. I can’t say now whether they will play or not play.”

Tuesday’s game comes against the league leaders in the Sky Bet Championship, with the Canaries needing a maximum of 10 points from their remaining seven games to secure an immediate return to the Premier League.

Carlos has been impressed with the Norfolk club’s response since relegation from the top flight next season and says that both quality and a strong foundation has been key to their success in fighting for promotion so far this campaign.

“I know how this coach (Daniel Farke) works with them and the style they have.

“The squad is very similar (to the previous years), some new players have added positive things. I am not surprised with what the table is showing - they are one of the best teams in the Championship.

“It’s going to be a difficult game, but I’m not expecting any easy games form now to the end of the season and I haven’t all year.

“With the quality they have, they will make the game difficult but we have to be hard to beat.”

The Terriers do head to Carrow Road with confidence to take on another of the league’s promotion-chasing sides having shared the points with third-place Brentford at the weekend.

It means that Town are now unbeaten in five matches, something Carlos says the current mentality in the squad has played a big part in.

“It’s something that the results are saying, it’s important when you can’t win, to not lose,” the Spaniard explained.

“The team is playing with a high mentality. Every two or three days the team is going to be tested and play matches. It is not easy.

“The motivation arrives from the situation we are facing.”
