TEAM NEWS: BARNSLEY vs TOWN

26 December 2020

Carlos Corberán selects the same side for third straight game

- Huddersfield Town side selected to face Barnsley
- Head Coach Carlos Corberán selects same starting XI
- Ben Hamer & Kian Harratt named as substitutes

Huddersfield Town Head Coach Carlos Corberán has selected an unchanged starting line-up for today’s Sky Bet Championship game at Barnsley; 3pm kick-off at Oakwell.

Corberán has now selected the same starting line-up for three successive games; the first time a Town side has been unchanged for three straight matches since October 2015.

As a result, Lewis O’Brien is making his 50th Sky Bet Championship start today.

There are two changes among the substitutes, however.

Ben Hamer returns to the squad after a two-game absence with the groin injury that forced him off at AFC Bournemouth on 12 December 2020; he replaces Joel Pereira.

The other switch sees 18-year-old striker Kian Harratt make his first appearance in a match day squad under Corberán. Kian, who was released by Barnsley before joining the Town Academy at 16, has made 13 appearances on loan at Harrogate Town and Guiseley since making his sole First Team appearance for us in December 2019. 17-year-old winger Pat Jones is the player to make way.

Corberán is again without Joel Pereira (shoulder), Tommy Elphick (knee), Richard Stearman (hamstring), Josh Koroma (hamstring), Danny Ward (hamstring), Christopher Schindler (knee), and Kieran Phillips (knee).
