- Move is pending international clearance

The Huddersfield Town Academy has completed the signing of Patrick Jones from Wrexham AFC, pending international clearance.

The 16-year-old has signed a two-year scholarship agreement with the Terriers, with the move pending international clearance as it is cross-border.

Patrick is pictured above, right, alongside Head of Academy Recruitment Emyr Humphreys.

An attacking player who can feature across out wide or centrally, Patrick has previously represented Wales at Under-16 level and he’s in the Under-17 squad for an upcoming international game in October 2019.

Patrick is a relative latecomer to the professional game, having previously played for Ruthin Town and Bala Town before joining the Red Dragons in November 2018.

He played for Wrexham’s First Team in pre-season, starting a 2-0 pre-season friendly win over Curzon Ashton.

He will join up with Jon Worthington’s Under-17 squad once clearance is received from the relevant bodies.
