New Huddersfield Town midfielder Reece Brown has his sights on proving himself in the Sky Bet Championship.

The 23-year-old made 16 appearances in the second tier of English football over four seasons for Birmingham City.

Now, back in the Sky Bet Championship, Reece explained how eager he is to show his talent and to help Huddersfield Town.

“I think this will be an exciting challenge for me and I can’t wait to get started.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity to come and play Championship football again at a team that I think will be a strong team in the division.

“I had a few games in the Championship before, dropped down the leagues and got some more experience and more game time under my belt.

“Now, I’ve got the opportunity to come back and really prove myself.”

The youngster had a stellar season at Forest Green Rovers last season, scoring 11 goals and getting 15 assists – a season that statistically surpassed all his others.

He explained what changed for him that season and how that has spurred him on to keep developing.

“Playing regular football helped me, it helped me mature on the field and off the field.

“I think my mentality changed and the work I put in, as in gym stuff, changed as well. It was nice to put extra work in and then get rewards from it.

“I will definitely keep working hard and then hopefully it will reflect and show on the pitch again.”

Jan Siewert is well known for giving young players a chance in his First Team and helping them develop.

That was a key factor for the midfielder as he explained what Town’s Head Coach said to him.

“It’s fantastic for me because he’s worked with some really good young players.

“I look forward to working with him and can’t wait to get going.

“If I’m putting in the work and doing my bit, then the opportunity is there for me and I’ll have the opportunity to go and express myself.”
