“We gave it our all” said Mathias Zanka as he reviewed Huddersfield Town’s defeat to Crystal Palace in the Premier League.

When speaking to #HTTV, the Denmark international explained how 90% of the game was positive, however, everyone was rueing the missed opportunities in the match.

“It was very frustrating, we missed a lot of chances, myself included, and we felt we were the better team out there today, so to come away with zero points is very frustrating,” explained Zanka.

“We gave it our all but sometimes we have to look at ourselves and say our finishing product and getting the ball in the goal we weren’t good enough today; that’s a shame when everything was clicking in all cylinders.

“Each individual needs to look at themselves and see what we can do better with regards to that and everything else we can look back on with a positive mind.”

Crystal Palace only had two shots on target during the game both coming from Wilfried Zaha.

The winger showed a glimpse of quality when scoring the opening goal of the game, something that frustrated Zanka.

“He’s a special player and has some special skills and he showcased it on that occasion going past two players, getting in and smashing it into the top corner; it was quite impressive but very annoying for our side.”

The centre-back went into detail about the positives from the game, how the performances are getting better and how everyone is sticking and fighting together to get the first win of the season.
