Over 800 local youngsters showcased their skills in the 2016 PPG Cup, held at Huddersfield Town over two days last weekend.
Footballers from across the region followed in the footsteps of Nahki Wells, Dean Whitehead and Joel Lynch by taking to the pitches at PPG Canalside.
This six-a-side tournament welcomed teams ranging from ages seven to 14 on Saturday and Sunday, with all children receiving a participation medal.
The tournament also offered a wide range of activities to keep the entire family occupied throughout the day including face-painters, ‘Terry The Terrier’ and plenty of refreshments to complete the full family experience.
Once again Birstall-based PPG Architectural Coatings UK & Ireland, manufacturer of leading trade paint brands Johnstone’s Trade and Leyland Trade, lent its support to the inaugural PPG Cup as part of its sponsorship of Huddersfield Town’s Canalside training facility on Leeds Road.
