Match in late January changed to a 12.30pm kick-off
Huddersfield Town’s home match against West Yorkshire rivals Leeds United on Saturday 31 January 2015 will now kick-off at 12.30pm.
The fixture at the John Smith’s Stadium was originally pencilled in for a 3pm kick-off, but this has now been changed to 12.30pm.
Huddersfield Town’s Operations Director Ann Hough commented:
“The home fixture against Leeds United is judged to be a ‘high risk’ one by West Yorkshire Police, which would require extra policing around the John Smith’s Stadium for a normal 3pm kick-off.
“In the view of the Police, moving the kick-off time to 12.30pm reduces the risks associated with this game and requires less policing, which is therefore less costly to the Club.”
