Youngsters look to replicate success of Honley Junior School
The local heats of the U11s Kids Cup kicked off last week as Town looked to find a team to defend its crown!
Last season a team from Honley Junior School (pictured above) represented the Terriers and defeated Harris Primary Peckham Park (Millwall’s representatives) in the Final at Wembley Stadium ahead of the Championship Play-Off Final.
The 1st of five local heats took place last week at the Zone, Huddersfield which was won by Christchurch.
The five winners from all the local heats will play on a Finals Day on 2 December at the Zone where the top two teams will play to represent Town during the half-time interval of a Town Championship game next year. Like last season, the National Final will be played ahead of the Championship Play-Off Final.
Twice out of the last four years a team representing Huddersfield Town has won the cup!
