Brahima joined Town's Academy in the summer of 2019, making the move from his home country France.

Hailing from Paris, Diarra played for Montrouge and AC Boulogne-Billancourt before becoming a Young Terrier.

Most at home in the 'number 10' position behind the main striker, Brahima is technically excellent. He also boasts real power, giving him the ability to burst beyond opposition midfielders.

Since joining Town's Academy, the Frenchman has progressed through both the Under 17 and Under 19 development sides, fast becoming a mainstay within Jon Worthington's B Team.

Rewarded for his progression with a first professional contract in August 2020, his performances earned the popular young Parisian an extension until 2024.

An all-action attacking midfielder that possesses great dribbling ability, a knack for scoring and an unrelenting work rate, Diarra has made the jump to First Team involvement on several occasions. He was named on the bench against Cardiff City in the 2020/21 season a few weeks before making his professional debut in English football away in Bournemouth as a substitute. Brahima was also used in the FA Cup against Plymouth Argyle last season.

He is also regular trainer with Carlos Corberán’s First Team.

The latter half of the 2021/22 season saw Brahima move to Sky Bet League Two side Harrogate Town alongside teammate Josh Austerfield.

The midfielder instantly impresed, missing only five of 15 possible games. Starting in multiple positions for Harrogate Town, including on the left and right side of midfield, he claimed one goal and two assists.

A foot injury saw the youngster requiring surgery, ruling him out for the rest of the season.
