Swapping their suits and ties for blue and white stripes, Huddersfield Town’s Partners crossed the white line at the John Smith’s Stadium last week for a kick about!

A full 11-a-side affair on the hallowed turf in HD1, our Partners lined-up in our 2023/24 home and third kits, going head-to-head under the watchful eye of former Town captain and Manager Peter Jackson.

Complete with team talks, shirt presentations, preparation in our First Team changing rooms and more - with team sheets, PA announcements and the scoreboard making it feel like a proper fixture - it was a full experience for those playing, with Richard Graves hosting in the event in the Terriers Together Lounge pre-game.

Unfortunately for Jacko, he was bested by the away side managed by close friend and Town hospitality host Fencil Modeste, with the final score ending 6-1 in their favour. With guests watching on from the Director’s Box, there were refreshments available before and after the big game too.

Presented with commemorative medals at the end of the day, Player’s Player of the day went to Pavel Matvejevs of Mockba Modular following a hat-trick for the away side, with Jordan Parker of Preston’s Kitchens winning Player of the Match, as decided by Peter and Fencil.

Huddersfield Town Partnerships Manager Matthew Goodwin commented:

“After another long season, it was fantastic to have our Partners come together and live out childhood dreams at the John Smith’s Stadium!

“Working with so many incredible local businesses, it’s always welcome to get everyone together and the interaction between not only them and the Club, but between themselves, too.

“We think long and hard about who we want to work with and why, as we look for Partners who align with our Club values and desire to succeed.

“Their support isn’t taken for granted, and we can’t thank them enough for their backing both in the season just passed and moving forward in the future.”
