Young Terriers in EFL Youth Alliance Cup action
- Huddersfield Town Under-19s vs Doncaster Rovers
- Game on Saturday 9 September, 11am kick-off
- Free to watch at the Millers Oils High Performance Complex
It may be the first international break of the season for our First Team, but there’s no rest for our Under-19 side on Saturday as their EFL Youth Alliance Cup campaign gets under way!
If you’re missing your regular football fix, you’re welcome to drop down to the Millers Oils High Performance Complex (HD2 1YJ) to watch the Young Terriers take on visitors Doncaster Rovers in an 11am kick-off.
The northern section of the EFL Youth Alliance Cup pits Town in group stage competition against Rovers as well as Blackpool, Carlisle United and Morecambe. This is the first game of the season in the competition for Michael Tonge and Oran Thompson’s young charges.
Town’s Under-19 side has started their regular league season with a pair of draws against Mansfield Town and Notts County.
#htafc’s U19s were denied the 3️⃣ points in their Youth Alliance League game against Notts County.

Whereas Town can play overage, Under-19 players in the regular EFL Youth Alliance season, the cup is strictly for Under-18 players, so expect a young side to be on display that could include several trialists.
If you can’t make it down to the training ground for the game, we’ll have a review of the afternoon on htafc.com and our specific Academy X account, @htafcacademy, over the course of the weekend.
