Opening the scoring with his first goal of the 2023/24 Sky Bet Championship season, Matty Pearson wasn’t able to celebrate long with Stoke City equalising with their first attack in response.
An end-to-end game, the Terriers had to gather themselves in the break after Stoke took initiative of the first half with Pearson highlighting the impact of the substitutes on a night where Town were missing Jonathan Hogg and Danny Ward.
Full of praise for Neil Warnock, the defender also spoke highly of Yuta Nakayama before underlining his focus on the future, stating that whoever is next in line to take over the side will have a solid foundation to build on after three games without defeat.
