Huddersfield Town Manager Darren Moore said that he and his side had to own their defeat to Cardiff City, learning and improving from it as he spoke live to HTTV at full-time.
A disappointing night for Town, they fell behind inside two minutes and found themselves three behind at the break, with the away side adding one more direct from a free kick in the second half.
Speaking to HTTV at full-time Moore said:
“We didn’t get off to the start that we wanted, to go a goal down in the first few minutes. It was disappointing that it was a deflected effort that went in last off one of our players.
“From that position, we never really recovered.
“When you look back at the goals it’s been that deflected effort and three set plays. From a management point of view, especially with set plays, you feel you can avoid them.
“Tonight from our perspective, it just wasn’t good enough. In terms of both the performance and the goals conceded especially.
“We’ve just got to be honest, because the performance level wasn’t to the level that we started on Saturday.
“It’s time to reflect back on this game, and we’ll do that now over the next 24 hours."
