The Terriers will continue their Sky Bet Championship campaign on Saturday 25 February at Turf Moor against Burnley.
Our first game of the 2022/23 season was at home to newly relegated Burnley, with the visitors taking all three points on the day thanks to Ian Maatsen’s goal in the first half. Town go into the game off the back of a 2-1 home win against Birmingham, with Burnley drawing 1-1 away against Millwall on Tuesday 21 February.
THE OPPOSITION
Burnley are currently top of the league on 73 points after 33 games, 12 points clear of second place Sheffield United and 16 points clear of third place Middlesbrough.
Premier League winner Vincent Kompany was appointed manager of Burnley in June 2022, following his departure from Anderlecht in 2022.
Burnley finished 18th in the Premier League last season, finishing on 35 points, three points from safety.
ONES TO WATCH
Nathan Tella
Nathan Tella is currently Burnley’s top scorer with 12 goals in 29 league appearances. The winger recently scored a hat trick in a 3-0 win at home to Preston, on 11 February. The 23-year-old has made most of his appearances on the wings this season, where has most of his goal involvements. The Englishman joined Burnley in August 2022 on loan from Southampton where he has 14 Premier League appearances. Tella has made 133 appearances in his career, scoring 30 times and assisting 15 times. He has also made two assists this season. 
Arijanet Muric
Muric joined Burnley in July 2022, joining from Manchester City where he made five first team appearances, conceding just one goal in that time. The goalkeeper has played a big part in Burnley’s success this season, conceding 26 times in 30 games, keeping 12 clean sheets and being a big part of the best defence in the league this season. Standing at just under two metres tall, the 24-year-old last conceded on 14 February in a 1-1 draw with Watford.
Josh Brownhill
Joining Burnley in January 2020 from Bristol City, midfielder Josh Brownhill has played 31 times this season, scoring five and assisting seven times. The 27-year-old has experience across the divisions, playing in League One, the Championship and the Premier League, making 372 appearances, 78 of which have been in the Premier League. Brownhill has scored 34 times in his career, with his most prolific form at Burnley this season. Brownhill has also been part of the Sky Bet Championship team of the month for October this season.
