HUDDERSFIELD TOWN FOUNDATION’S CHRISTMAS APPEAL LAUNCHED

13 December 2023

Huddersfield Town Foundation launch 2023 Christmas appeal

- Town’s Foundation has launched its Christmas Appeal
- People asked to give a little this festive period
- Money will go towards programme delivery such as the Breakfast Clubs

Huddersfield Town Foundation has launched its Christmas Appeal ahead of the festive period to help them continue their vital work in the local community.

The Foundation relies heavily on donations from the public, as well as applying for grant funding, and raising funds from events and challenges.

In November, the Foundation reached a very significant milestone – it has now served over 2.5 million breakfasts to children across Kirklees in the last 11 years. To sustain the Breakfast Clubs and keep fighting the issue of food poverty in our community, the Foundation are asking for fans and businesses to support their appeal for funding.

On an annual basis, it costs the Foundation £140,000 per year to fund its Breakfast Clubs, and when schools return in January 2024, there will be an increased demand for their offer.

Working collaboratively with local partners and organisations, the Foundation works across the breadth of Kirklees to ensure that those who need some support can be afforded it.

The Foundation is asking for donations this festive period so that they can continue their amazing work in the community in 2024, working with a range of participants.

If you would like to help the Foundation aid someone in poverty this festive period, please CLICK HERE to donate to their Christmas Appeal page.

Alternatively, you can donate by texting as below:

There are also several ways that people can continue their support of the Foundation at no extra cost. This includes the use of easyfundraising, which is a free way to fundraise for the Huddersfield Town Foundation, whilst shopping with over 7000 brands, such as Argos, M&S, John Lewis, and Tesco. To sign up for an account, just CLICK HERE.

In addition, the ‘Fans For Foodbanks’ initiative will continue over the festive period, meaning that supporters attending the fixtures against Blackburn Rovers and Middlesbrough will be able to donate non-perishable items for local foodbanks.

If you would like more information on how you can help the Foundation, please email help@htafcfoundation.com with an enquiry.
