A GUIDE TO ONLINE TICKETING WITH HTAFC

14 December 2023

Learn more about how to navigate our online system

- A few helpful tips and guides about online ticketing
- An explanation on why we ask for some information
- Watch some of our video guides below

As you may know, you can buy tickets for Town’s upcoming home and away games on our official online ticketing platform via htafc.com.

With that in mind, we’ve put together a few video guides and explanations on how to navigate some of the functionality on our Ticketmaster platform, which should help you get setup and ready for buying your tickets online.

Answers to a few frequently asked questions are below, but please let us know if we can add to this guide via our @htafchelp Twitter account!

How to access the online ticketing platform

Please visit htafc.com, hover over the ‘Tickets’ tab on the menu at the top of the home page and select ‘Buy Tickets Online’.

Creating an account as a Season Card holder

If you are a Season Card holder, it is important that you link your online ticketing account to that Season Card. This will give you access to buy tickets for games that are on tiered sale, for example in demand away games.

To do this, go ‘Buy Tickets Online’ as instructed above and then click on the person icon in the top right corner, located next to the basket icon.

Once here, look beneath the boxes to enter your email address and password and click on ‘Activate Membership Account’.

Once here, fill in the two boxes. Your client reference number can be found on your Season Card. Once you follow the ‘Find My Account’ process, that will link your online account to your Season Card and give you the correct level of access.

Why we ask you to assign tickets to other fans

When you’re buying match tickets for multiple fans, we ask you to let us know who the other fans are.

By doing this, it allows the other Town fans to build up their own purchase history, which can be useful in the future.

For example, it was a necessity as per Wembley rules for supporters who initially wanted to buy tickets for our 2021/22 Play-Off Final.

It also allows supporters to buy tickets for home games where a previous purchase history with the club is a necessity. This is the case for our home game against Leicester City on Saturday, as it will prevent away fans buying tickets in home areas now that their allocation is sold out.

There are two ways that you can do this:

Assigning tickets to people in your network

If, for example, you come with friends and family on a regular basis and it makes sense for you to have the ability to assign bought tickets to them, you can add them to your online ticketing network.

Watch this video to see how to do that:

Assigning tickets to people who don’t have an online account

If, at the point of purchase, you need to create accounts for other fans who haven’t been before, you can do that too.

This process isn’t exactly as we want it to be right now, and we’re working with Ticketmaster to improve that process.

For now, follow the steps on the video above until you reach the ‘search outside of your network’ screen. At that stage, enter the details of the new person. When you press ‘search member’ it will not find that person, and a new option comes up to ‘register a new user’. Follow those steps, and that person will have their own online ticketing account.

If you’ve successfully bought tickets for friends or family and you want to send the tickets to them – if, for example, they will arrive at the John Smith’s Stadium at a different time to you on match day – you can do that via the online platform too.
