Michał Helik has been named our Player of the Month for August 2023 by Blue & White Members in our first vote of the new 2023/24 season!
In a close vote, winger Sorba Thomas finished as runner-up to the centre half, with Jack Rudoni and Josh Koroma picking up the majority of the remaining votes.
Despite being a frustrating month for the Terriers with promising performances undone by unfavourable results, Helik scored the opening goal of the season away at Home Park against Plymouth Argyle and has been an ever-present alongside Matty Pearson in the heart of defence.
Thomas, Koroma and Rudoni have also shown flashes of their ability, with Sorba scoring direct from a corner at the Riverside against Middlesbrough as Town picked up their first point of the season.
Robert Stevenson from Mirfield will meet Michał Helik at our next home fixture against Rotherham United and present him with his award alongside junior member Abi Stopford from Netherton.
All the money generated from the £2-a-week that Blue and White members pay goes straight to the Huddersfield Town Academy.
