Jon Worthington’s B Team will face Sunderland on Wednesday 12 April

Continuing a tough run of friendly fixtures as the B Team look to test themselves at the business end of the season, Jon Worthington’s side will travel to the Academy of Light to face Sunderland.
Kicking off at 1pm on Wednesday 12 April 2023, the fixture will be played at the Academy of Light (Sunderland Road, SR6 7UN) with spectators welcome! The home side will line up in their traditional red, white and black home strip, with the Young Terriers in all black.
Having been giving opportunities to both experienced B Team players and younger U19s looking to make the step up, results have reflected that fluctuation with the last seven results ending in alternate wins and losses.
The more established B Team group have been in fine form, backing up their latest 4-1 away win over Leicester City with a 7-1 home victory over Preston North End and another away win against Accrington Stanley, which ended 3-1 to the Young Terriers.
